Above shows a popular version of a slip joint folding knife. This "trapper" folding knife has a 3 1/2" blades made from 3/32" thick 440c stainless steel. The frame is fileworked 410 stainless steel. Bolsters are 416 stainless steel. Handle is bark mammoth ivory. This particular "trapper" is put together with permanant pins. Price for a similar piece is USD$500.
