Rocket Knives Texas Star Sub-hilt Fighting Knife

Above shows the "Texas Star" version of the sub-hilt fighter.
This knife has a 6" blade made from 5/32" thick 440c stainless steel.
The guards are from 416 stainless and are mounted
along with a "Texas Star" mosaic pin.
Handle scales are black linen micarta.
The handle scales are held in place by mosaic handle pins.
Glass breaker butt with lanyard hole.

Price for a similar piece is USD$750.
All Military Style Sub-Hilt Fighters are fitted with a
custom hand stitched leather sheath.

Below shows a stick tang version of the
Military Style Sub-Hilt Fighting Knife.
This one has an 8" blade made from 1/4" thick carbon damascus steel. The round handle offers a slightly different feel
from the slab handle version.
The 416 guards, butt and stack liners add more stability
to the stacked copal amber handle.
The translucency of the copal amber allows viewing of the
damascus steel tang through the handle.

Price for a similar piece is USD$1000.

Rocket Knives stick tang version of the Sub-Hilt Fighting Knife

Below shows a slightly more collectable version of the
Military Style Sub-Hilt fighter.
This fighter has a 7" blade made from 1/4" thick 440c stainless steel
and is decorated with filework on its' spine.
The guards & butt are 304 stainless steel. The handle is Burmese jade.
The jade adds a good bit of weight to the knife,
making it almost impractical to carry.
But this knife will perform the same duties as the lighter weight version.

Price for a 7" Military Style Sub-Hilt Fighter with a rock handle
such as the jade shown here is USD$1000.
